An arugula bed is nice to have when friends are coming for lunch. You don’t need a very large bed to have a generous salad every day. Summer has been on a hiatus the last few days. In the cool, wet weather, the arugula is growing vigorously.
From just small seeds, the rhubarb have grown a great deal in just a few months. This is the first year I’ve grown rhubarb from seed. I didn’t expect them to get this large so quickly. I’ll be planting a lot more this summer. The world needs more rhubarb.
The best lunch you can make for friends is using produce plucked from the garden just before they arrive.
