What Summer Brings

Summer brings tomatillo flowers and baby cucumbers. Tomatillos are worth growing for their cheery flowers and luxurious leaves. Their tart fruits are an added bonus.

Summer also brings the first catch of potatoes. I couldn’t resist sneaking a few new potatoes out from underneath the potatoes while the ducks watch.

Summer brings the last of the garlic scapes. The first of the pointy cabbage, the best cabbage there is.

And summer brings the sweetest of raspberries.
